Review: Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in 'Royal Blue'


As you all know, I am slightly scared of colourful eyeshadow. I am a strictly neutral eye girl. However, Priceline are having another 20% off sale on Rimmel cosmetics, and when I saw this range of eyeliners for $6.80AU, I couldn't resist picking this up. I already have the Jet Black eyeliner that I love (it's much more soft and creamy then a regular pencil, although the staying power isn't fantastic) so I thought that this would be a good way to slowly venture into colours.




This pencil isn't as soft and creamy as the black, but it is much creamier than a regular pencil. The colour (well captured in the picture) is a gorgeous sky blue that appears to shimmer, but not in an OTT way.


Here is a comparison of it compared to the black I own. Like I said, it has an almost shimmery finish compared to the creamy matte finish of the black.

Considering I am most comfortable with blues, I figured I would buy this shade. It's not the most flattering for my hazel eyes, but it is a lovely colour that can I can definitely work into my looks to brighten them up. I love the consistency of these pencils, and will definitely go back and pick up a few more at this price.

    That is such a pretty color!! I really love the Stila waterproof liquid liner in electric!! It's a sparkly blue green! :) Great post!
